ISANG KOPITANG PANGARAP

the wife that never was

everyday she goes about her chores
making everything spotless

leaving
          no
             trace
                    of
                      grief

time must have had her master it all
the art of make believe

playing that she loves
pretending to be loved

she believes in no promises
and trusts in no vows

she laughs at a man's tears
but pretends to forgive

her face never shows
the sorrow that she veils

this is one woman that I know
